Becoming a Patient

  • Call or text us at 518-871-9097. Our onboarding specialist will collect your contact and insurance information, and answer any insurance questions you might have. Share a little about your problem, and our specialist will match you with the therapist that best fits your needs.

  • Arrive on the day of your appointment just a few minutes early. You will have already received an email containing our intake questionnaire, so hopefully you will have had time to complete it. This will reduce the amount of time needed to arrive early. Five minutes should be plenty. If you aren’t comfortable with online forms, we can help you fill things out at the office.

  • Your therapist will review your intake information, and will ask you follow up questions regarding your injuries and the pain your are feeling. Your history is REALLY important to us. How you got hurt is just as important as what parts of your body were injured. Once we have a good understanding of your story, we will complete our evaluation including posture, range of motion and strength assessments. We will show you how your body works together to overcome your issue. You will also receive treatment on the first visit.

  • Once your evaluation is complete, your therapist will discuss the plan for your follow up sessions. Typically, we see patients 1-2 times per week. Plan on about 12 sessions to start. This will give you and your therapist a good idea about how your body is responding to treatment, and will also help in determining the course of future treatments. Typically, if the issue you are facing is relatively new, you might only need a few treatment sessions. If it is a more chronic problem, you will likely need more sessions.
