Core Physical Therapy: The Dr. House of Physical Therapy?

One of my patients spent years looking for help for her chronic pain and quickly found relief at Core.  She suggested this analogy for her experience and I found it both flattering and simply perfect.

The difference in approach and philosophy between traditional physical therapy and Core Physical Therapy is like comparing the show ER to the show House.

  • Traditional Physical Therapy (ER analogy):

    • Structured and Standardized: Much like the show ER, traditional physical therapy often follows standardized protocols and procedures tailored to common conditions.

    • Focused on Immediate Needs: ER addresses urgent health issues promptly, and traditional physical therapy tends to focus on addressing immediate rehabilitation needs.

  • Core Physical Therapy (House analogy):

    • Holistic and Innovative: Dr. House is known for his unconventional and innovative approach. Core Physical Therapy might adopt a similar mindset, offering more holistic and innovative solutions beyond conventional practices.

    • Individualized and Specialized: Dr. House tailors his diagnostics and treatments to each patient. Similarly, Core Physical Therapy may offer more individualized and specialized care, potentially incorporating manual therapy or unique techniques.

    • Exploring Alternative Approaches: Dr. House often considers unconventional methods. Core Physical Therapy might explore alternative therapies like manual therapy, emphasizing a broader range of options.

It's crucial to note that both approaches have their merits and that the effectiveness of a particular method can vary from person to person. If the traditional care is not working for you you may need to seek more innovative professionals like the ones at Core PT. It is common for our patients to have tried traditional physical therapy and have failed and then tried Core PT and have had their goals met.

If regular physical therapy is not providing the success that you need, you have not tried everything and surgery is not the only option to look forward to.  Core PT, The Dr House of physical therapy,  will have new solutions for your problem.
