John Murphy, PT

John Murphy, Physical Therapist, is a Clifton Park native who graduated from Shenendehowa High School. He completed his degree in Physical Therapy at Daemen College while concurrently studying under Loren Rex, Doctor of Osteopathy at the Ursa Foundation. John’s traditional education in Physical Therapy combined with the osteopathic manual skills and philosophy he obtained under the tutelage of Loren, offered a unique perspective to new solutions for chronic pain and in difficult to treat patients that traditional physical therapy had failed.

In the early part of his career, while employed as a traveling Physical Therapist, John studied under some of the best manual practitioners. During this period of educational acquisition with the manual approach, in combination with refinement of his own personal techniques, he laid the foundation for his career.

In 2001, John founded Core Physical Therapy. His desire was to create an environment that inspired a collective curiosity, while not limiting the individual creativity of his staff. The investigative approach matched with the technical foundations that John provided allowed for his team to approach each case with a unique perspective and deliver the best care for each patient at Core PT.

In 2009, he co-founded Body Connections with Eileen Cecilione, Physical Therapist, to educate both Physical Therapists and Massage Therapists in both osteopathic manual methods and philosophies.

When John is not at the office or teaching, he can be found at a local coffee shop catching up on paperwork or enjoying time with his wife and two kids.
